Jess is one of the research librarians here on campus. She helps keep the front desk staff updated on all the new aspects of the library. I have known her for all three years at UMF. If there are any questions that I have I normally ask her. We have another librarian who deals with all of the archival material on campus. Her name is Laurie but she was not comfortable with taking a photo. I found out from Laurie that the school library does not have a lot material on the native Americans from the area. If we looked online for Abenaki then we found a lot more online information. The libaray itself only had two recourses that  were relevant to the search. I had asked if there was any local news in our newspapers but sadly there wasn’t.

I was also tasked to see the information that the local historical society had of the indigenous history. However our local society is only open by appointment. A fact that you don’t and out about until you look at the website. However once you contact then through their message board waiting for an answer takes a while. I have yet to hear back from them, but I am hoping they get back to me soon too find out if they have any info.
